Triplet Convention 2008

Multiples in the Mist

The Triplet Connection 2008 Convention
July 11-13, 2008• Niagara Falls, New York

To reserve your room call 716-689-6900 or visit the Marriott website »

Join us at one of the Seven Wonders of the World! This should be one of our largest conventions ever, simply because of the gorgeous surroundings in the great state of New York. There is so much to see and do in the area, including Niagara Falls State Park, which includes the Maid of the Mist boat ride right into the base of the falls! Also, you will find the Observation Tower, Scenic Trolley, Festival Theater, Aquarium of Niagara, Discovery Center, and the Cave of the Winds. Other close by places of great interest are the Old Fort Niagara (full of living history!), jet boat rides, Butterfly Conservatory, Journey Behind the Falls, Grand Lady Cruises, Lockport and Erie Canal tours (more amazing history!) along with Lockport Cave and Underground Boat Rides. As if that isn't enough, for all you amusement park enthusiasts, we have Martin's Fantasy Island complete with great rides, shows, petting zoo, games, and water park!

If you have any questions about this year's convention, please contact Kree Lindsay at (562) 944-3395 or Email Kree.

There are four meal functions provided during our three-day convention:

1. Dessert for the adults only in their Adult Session Meeting on Friday evening.
2. Box lunch on Saturday after the workshops for all registered attendees over age two (children ages two and under are free and are not supplied lunch).

Triplet Parade
During the family picnic on Saturday at the Buffalo Launch Club, all families can participate in our popular triplet parade. Get your creative ideas going and think of cute outfits you can make or inexpensive look-alike-clothes that you can buy to make your kids stand out. This year's parade will be judged by members of the Buffalo/Niagara broadcast and print media and several other VIPs to be announced soon. All kids (singletons and multiples together) from babies in strollers, to young adults dancing to the music, will be participating in this fun event.

Hotel Information
We will be staying at the very nice and convenient Buffalo/Niagara Marriott Hotel (www.Marriott.com). The price per room is $129 per night. Please note that the convention registration fee is a separate charge. The hotel is located 10 minutes from the Buffalo/Niagara Airport and 25 minutes from the Niagara Falls. There is a complimentary hotel shuttle to and from the airport and the hotel has complimentary parking. The Marriott has an indoor/outdoor pool, Jacuzzi, and an on-site family restaurant. The rooms have all the nicest amenities and have recently been renovated.

*You MUST make a reservation at the hotel for your sleeping rooms and tell them you are part of the Triplet Connection Convention. Please call the Buffalo/Niagara Marriott at 716-689-6900 Monday-Friday between the times of 8:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. This will allow you to speak DIRECTLY with the hotel staff rather than through central reservations. This should ensure the best possible service.

Please know this: Our contract with the hotel states that:

*Two adults and ANY number of children in the immediate family MAY STAY IN ONE ROOM.

*Cribs and rollaways must be requested AT THE TIME OF THE RESERVATION. Price will be determined after the number our group needs is determined. The direct cost of rentals may be passed directly on to the guest.

*Our convention rate will be good three days before and three days after our event based on availability.

*The hotel registration cut-off date is June 8, 2008, but please make your reservation early as we may fill our block early and may need to pick up rooms in other area hotels.

Child Care
This is a family convention and babies are welcome except at the Saturday workshops and adult meeting. Any child attending the children's activities and entertainment portions of the convention AND IS UNDER THE AGE OF SIX will need to be accompanied by a chaperone. This could be a parent, friend, or relative. If it is necessary for a parent to stay with his or her children during a block of time rather than attending another activity, it will be time well spent. Often, parents will trade off with their spouses to attend a particular adult meeting or workshop if they do not have a helper.

Auction Items and Convention Volunteers Needed
Our silent and live auctions are the only major convention fundraiser (registration fees do not cover all of our expenses). The auctions are a very popular event that gives convention attendees a chance to purchase unique items that are donated from around the country. It will only be successful with your help! Whether or not you are attending the convention, if you would like to donate an item (no matter how large or small), please contact Amy Alvarez at (716) 881-1118 or Email Amy. All donations are tax deductible!

We are also in need of local families to volunteer before or during the convention. If you have a few hours to spare, please contact Kree Lindsay at (562) 944-3395 or Email Kree.
