#574, "HAIR PULLERS!!! HELP!!!"

OK, my girls are 28 months and I have officially survived the biting stage which lasted over a year. Now they are pulling eachothers hair, HARD!! My one DD, Lindsey, just walks over to the other 2 and pulls their hair for no reason. Now the other 2 are starting it also. I have tried time-outs, explaining that it hurts, separating the puller from the pullees, and even pulling their hair (which I really didn't want to do). Nothing is working. They talk fine and can tell eachother what is the problem but they don't and they go straight for the hair. Anyone else experience this with their little ones??? Is it a girl thing??? Please someone help before my girls are bald!!!!!!}> }> }> Thanks

My 27 month old BBGs are going through the very same thing so I can assure you it isn't just a "girl" thing! A couple of nights ago, during a bath, one of my boys had each of his siblings by a handful of hair and was yanking. Sometimes it is hard to determine why the hair pulling is occuring. I can understand when there is conflict, but it makes no sense when each child is playing peacefully and hair is pulled.

I wish I had some advice, but all I can do is commiserate with you. Biting seems to be a thing of the past, but hair pulling, shoving, and throwing are the current fads. Hopefully someone can offer us some hope!
