Hola everyone! I was wondering if any of my old peeps were still kicking around here? Back in the day - when I was pg with the trips EONS ago - there were a vibrant group of us posting on a daily basis. TripletConnection was my lifeline and got me through the uncharted territory of raising triplets. I would LOVE to hear updates on everyone!
I finished nursing school in 2008. Served my last year in school as President of the National Student Nurses Association and after graduation was elected to the ANA board. I also dove right back into school and will finish my MSN in a couple of weeks. Did the bedside thing for a while at the Cleveland Clinic and loved the experience, but have now moved into the corporate world to work in developing alliances with nursing associations. Once I started down the nursing school path 8 years ago it completely consumed my life and you will notice that is about the time I fell off the face of the TC earth. Hard but worth it - and glad to be done!
Kids - Spencer was diagnosed with Tourette's at the age of 7 and that has made JR. High interesting. It is mild to moderate, but controlled fairly well with meds. Still loves math and science and has taken to Cross Country. I think he might have a girlfriend - it is unclear at this point if SHE knows she's his girlfriend lol.
Seville - total tomboy, very good in softball and basketball - fingers crossed for a scholarship one day - lord knows her parents could use the break. Sweet and quiet, but very driven - this girl has the ability to see the bigger picture and anticipate the next move like no child I've ever seen. It will interesting to see what path she chooses in life
Olivia - Another tomboy - oiy! No girlie girls for me Total bookworm, tested off the charts for the gifted program, which totally shocked me since she is the only child that had an IEP in preschool. There's hope yet for all you HOM moms out there! She is super smart but at the same time completely absent minded. There is a well tested phenomenon in our home where we will give her a very simple command "Go to the kitchen and bring me a spoon" and she will smile, say OK and walk 20 feet to the kitchen only to be distracted by a bright light or interesting noise and get completely derailed on her task. Ten minutes later we ask about the spoon and she looks surprised - Oh ya!
Noah - Can you say casanova? he refuses to let me cut his hair short and does the whole hanging in the eyes thing - which apparently all of the other little girls LOVE. the flock to him when he tags along to the girls games. We are in the process of relocating for my new job, but Noah is the one that is struggling the most. Definitely doesn't do as well with change as his same age siblings do. But he makes friends easily and quickly becomes the center of attention so I have no worries about him doing well in Columbus.
Darol - Mr. Mom as always. I now make enough that we can have that big house we always wanted and he won't have to work (so much for the MBA), but he loves doing all the taxi driver stuff for the kids and has even developed a knack for cooking and laundry after I declared that I was taking my last two semesters off of the household tasks so that I could manage to graduate.
Pippin - our golden retriever, after years of three babies/toddlers/preschoolers, we finally took a chance on a pet and we adore her, she was such a great addition to our family. Super friendly and sweet.
Can't wait to hear from someone else!!

Hi Jen,
That is a blast from the past! I remember you; I think you may have even pre-dated me!! I'm surprised I saw this post; I rarely visit the forum these days, mostly because it is pretty inactive. I posted a few months ago asking 'where have all the triplet moms gone?' and flushed a few of the old school out--all of whom say they live on facebook groups now and most of whom are pretty bitter about TC. Too bad. I loved this board in the old days, drama and all.
As for me, we now number 13 kids! My trio are in third grade and just turned 10 last week. Hard to believe they hit double digits that fast, but they still light up my life. They have different interests but an amazing bond. They're not big sports stars but do enjoy lacrosse (now that's a great picture with all their gear!!), basketball, riding bikes and jumping on our trampoline. My twins are in first grade (and my girl twin is named Seville, but ALL princess pink and girly girl--sorry!!). Our youngest just turned three in December and is stubbornly not potty trained, so, yes, I am STILL changing diapers. That's ok; it's my life and I love it!!
Congrats on your new career; sounds like you are very happy! Thanks for checking in! Ellyn and the lucky 13!

So life does get "normal" again after the shock of triplets? I know a few people said that TC is not as active, but I have found it to be incredibly helpful and it was really interesting to read about your triplets and all they are involved with on a regular basis. Our triplets aren't here yet, but I'm sure it will be chaotic when they get here! Thanks for letting me know that there is hope tol surviving the first few years with triplets! ~Jennifer~ Madelynn - 2.5 years old ID Boys - 6/5/12 (35 weeks) Daniel - 5 lbs 7 oz Ryder - 4 lbs 8 oz Garrett - 5 lbs 8 oz

Hi Jen! Great to hear from you! I don't come around here much so I'm glad I saw your post.
My kids now range from 21 down to 10. I have one in college and one about to be (graduates HS next month), one going to HS next year, and then the triplets in 4th grade. I am just finished up treatment for breast cancer and doing fine. Life is good. Kari S.

Nice to hear from you, Jen. It has been a while. Sounds like you are doing well.
My boys are 18, 15, 15, and 15. It gets to be so much fun as they get older. It is terrific to see them grow and develop into their own personalities. You have fun years ahead of you!
Good luck with your move and new job endeavors!
