My only worry with all 3 lined up is how the one sleeping in the middle would get out to go to the bathroom at night. Our 3 girls all shared a queen bed from 5-7 but since it didn't have a footboard, she could climb out the end. Does your design have a footboard?

We came up with kind of an 'invented design' that has worked well for us. I posted a pix on it a couple years ago but don't know if I could find it! Essentially, we bought trundle style twin beds with the bottom bed coming out from underneath the higher one at a right angle. For the third bed we attached a twin frame to the headboard of that lower bed so that made two twins end to end that shared a headboard. I know it's probably confusing, but it has worked out great. My trio are now 9 and still sleep comfortably in them. The only downside is the bed that is partially under the top bed is a little tricky to make up, but it looks pretty triplet cool!! Ellyn and the lucky 13!

We had a trundle from age 7-12. Everyone loved the trundle because they could just push the bed under instead of making it!
