Ok, I know I am crazy but it has to be done! My hubby and I are flying cross country with our kiddos. Any recommendations on how to make it as smooth as possible? Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

We just traveled with three 2.5 yr olds so a bit different. Security was hard but you will have a stroller so that makes it a bit easier - don't bother putting shoes on them as you will have to put them all back on. Be careful with snacks that you pack - I took little things of Dole peaches and they had to be removed and put in individual trays by security. Make sure you take enough and then more for them to eat - our flight got sent back and sat on a runway for repairs - our 2 our leg was a 6 hour leg.

I would ask the dr about a dramamine doseage - it has doseages for 2 and up and I had no idea Will was going to puke so much he made people puke around us. I wish I would have had some for the 1st leg and he would have been so much better off.

If they are walking, leashes/tethers are a great thing - they can wear themselves out in the airport and then sleep on the flight.

good luck! If your taking their carseats we got Tote-A-Tots - they are great for getting carseats to the plane. You do need to remove them from the carry-on's before you board (we found out the hard way) as they won't go between the seats.

Have fun!

Hi there, I traveled with my three boys when they were one. The whole trip was about 3hours, and I really thought everything through and packed everything we needed, or what I thought we needed. The boys were still having bottles, so I packed one bottle each thinking it will be enough as it was a relatively short trip and they were fed before we got on the plane. But that one bottle was gone before we even left the ground. They cried and cried, so my advice is pack a few bottles, it will sooth them while the plane is taking off or during landing. Don't put shoes on them, just socks, it was a hassle taking shoes off and having to put them all back on and we just didn't have enough hands. Pack a big bag with everything, I packed three little bags and it was time consuming getting things out of three bags. We hired a vehicle with three carseats, it was so much easier than taking our own. We did take our twin and single stroller, but they had to be checked in and after we landed, we had to walk the three boys to the baggage collection and it took a very long time, and my arms were killing me, I was only carrying one boy while DH was carrying two lol.

Good luck on your trip. If they cry, they cry, it can't be helped.

Eve
