#190, "Leashes?"

Has anyone tried a leash system with your walking triplets? Do they work? Are they worth it? Is any one brand better than the next?

We used a wrist one, but not on the wrist. We slipped it through the strap of a fanny pack and then put treats in the pocket of the fanny pack. It worked really well.

We first bought the ones that stretch and didn't like those. Then we bought ones that don't stretch (I can't remember who makes them) and liked them much better.

We haven't used them in awhile, but they are going to Disney with us in December since not only will we be outnumbered it's way too easy to lose sight of them with the kinds of crowds and distractions Disney offers.

We use them all the time, don't know what brand, but we call them leads instead of leashes. The boy's love putting them on because they know that it means they get to go outside.

We have them, it's the only way I can take them out by myself.

Absolutely, all the time. I will even put my boys in a double stroller and then put my girls on leashes and let them walk. My children were never given the choice of whether or not to wear them. We have both the wrist kind and the kind that goes around the chest. They can choose between the two types, but we always wear them unless the kids are going to be strapped into a buggy (like at Walmart).

In my opinion, a young child should not be trusted to not run out in front of a car, to not run out into the street, to not walk off from us in a mall, etc. (I mean, how many times do we tell them to not jump on the furniture or to not hit their sister?) Holding hands with three or more is really not an option. I take the responsibility of their safety on myself and make sure they are tethered to me when we are out. I am even more cautious since that nutcase grabbed that baby out of a van while the mom was just a few feet away returning the cart. Someone might try to grab one of mine, but they will be dragging my fat butt right along with them!}>

These are my favorite, and my kids love them, too. In fact, I like them so much I have become a rep for the company! Check them out, and let me know what you think!
