Baby Trend Breckenridge Triple Stroller. I saw it online and it was cheap which is appealing, but cheap usually means poor quality. Any input? Other triplet strollers to try?

We have the Babytrend and it has worked well for us. However, once the babies were 11 months old, we pretty much started using the choo choo wagon all the time. They love it!
I would've loved to have a Runabout, that's a favorite on this site. I think it works much better when your kids are a bit older. The babytrend is harder to push as they grow.

We have the Baby Trend that we got brand new for our triplets last fall. They are now 14 months old and the middle seat is not big enough for any one of them for long periods of time. I do almost all of their doctor visits and such by myself and have to haul them in and out of there somehow! =) When they were smaller, they fit ok, but the middle seat was always tight. The front seat is always slightly reclined into the second passengers' seating area. I thought that it would get better as they got taller and that middle- seater would be able to see and be above the back of the front seat. Now, I not only have difficulty getting one of the girls into that seat, but I have a lot of trouble buckling that kid up. As they get bigger, they need more restraint so that they can't squirm out and with heavy winter coats and such, it is getting even harder to buckle them. The middle kid has the bar of the back of the front seat right in their face (or mouth, in the case of our three mouthers) and hair pulling and head swatting soon begin once they get frustrated with their tight quarters.

One factor to consider is that two of our triplets are almost 28 pounds each and the other one who is only 23 pounds is way too active to be strapped into that seat and always rides in front in order to keep her more content.

I tried to call the Baby Trend company and complain/ask for a solution and they were quite unappologetic. Basically, that is their design and there is nothing that they can do about it. The "customer service rep" did not give me much service or help and didn't really care that we had invested an amount of money that we find to be considerable into a product that they can do nothing in the way of fixing for us.

In any case, this is how we did and didn't use this stroller over their first year:
I didn't use this stroller for much else than transporting them in and out of doctor's offices (their doctors and mine). I didn't use it for shopping or hitting the mall that much because I just don't take them on those types of trips that much. This past summer was too hot and humid for long walks around town so we maily drove to the park in town and set that babies on a blanket or put them in the swings there. It can be quite daunting to push it up an incline now that they are so big.

I know that for the $250 that we paid we could have gotten a used Peg Perego that would have serviced us just as well and we would not currently have this issue with the middle seat...from what I can see on pictures online, the space for each seat is much more evenly divided and each seat is independant of the others. We are now looking for advice on runabouts since the babies weigh so much alreay.

We didn't have the baby trend. We had the J Mason. I loved it for the first 14-18 months, but after that it was too cramped in the middle seat.

When I started looking for a replacement, I contacted the company on the Baby Trend. Each time I spoke to them, I had unpleasant attitude from the customer service reps. That was definately a red flag for me that made me afraid to shop with them. Also, they finally gave me the seat dimensions and they were the same as the JMason, maybe up to 1 in gained in the length of the seat. We changed over to the Peg whose seats are about 1.5" wider and 3 in deeper in the length.

We love the size of the Peg seats, but it is hard to steer, as are many of the others now that the girls are heavier (around 20, 25, 29 pounds each). I am still considering switching again, when I can, to the runabout. Not sure when we can do this because we put $450 borrowed money into the Peg and the cheapest I have found the RA is about the same and up plus shipping.

I don't think we'll find the perfect stroller, but the peg does have more room than our JMason, though I think our JMason steered a little better with the weight.
