#16771, "Birthdays, Passports and Gotta Getta Gund Bears!"

Hello!!! I never post - can't even remember the last time I did! Here are my thoughts on some of the ongoing posts . . .

Our kids turned 5 five days ago (CAN'T BELIEVE IT!). We had a great big birthday party and have struggled with the present thing, too. However, at 5 it is all about the presents (at least that is how the kids see it!). I always want to write "No Gifts" on the invitation but feel like just b/c we have triplets, the birthday shouldn't be treated differently. (Sharing gifts, etc.) This day and age, you can go to the dollar store and not spend a lot of money and the kids still LOVE the gifts - so, we don't stipulate anything regarding the gifts on the invitation. We do, however make it clear to friends and family to NOT spend a lot of money.

Passports. We are taking our kids to Mexico in January and applied about a month ago. We already got them. They say that the passport agencies are caught up. I think the people at the post office have a pretty good idea of whether or not you need to expedite.

Gotta Getta Gund Bears. Did anyone get the pink Beary Long Legs when their kids were born? (Would have been around 2002). Our dd has loved hers so much it is blind, hairless and losing limbs. I was wondering if anyone had the same bear tucked in a corner that wouldn't be missed. We would buy it . . .

Thanks!
