Megan, I sincerely hope your DH is back and you´re not still dealing with this all on your own!!! About your foot, my first thought was that you were probably growing something inside the wrap...maybe it got damp during your bath (I know you´re being careful, but it can still happen), and since you hadn´t unwrapped it, it´s a perfect place for mold to grow. Is your foot and your toes warm? On your uninjured foot, put your fingers on the top of your foot and try to find your pulse...it should be on the top of your foot, on the bone right about at the highest part of your arch, before it curves in to your ankle. (I hope that makes sense). Once you find the pulse on your good foot, try to find it on your injured foot. If your injured foot is warm and has an equal pulse to your uninjured foot, you´re probably just dealing with the effects of having a wrapped foot for several days. If your foot is cold and you can´t find a pulse, do not pass go, do not collect $200 and do not spring clean your house before heading to the ER. I don´t think you´ll have to do that run again, tho, but please do let us know SOON how you´re doing. Hang in there! The smell--well that's kinda to be expected. The color sounds like the bruising is improving. You know how old bruises are yellow? Really bad bruises can turn green on its way to yellow. The best and easiest measurement of circulation in a splinted or casted extremity is the color, sensation, movement, and warmth of the extremity below the injury. So your toes should be warm, pink or bruised, have sensation to touch (may be decreased or tingly), and mobile (even with pain). Scary signs would be cold, pale, "dead" toes, and rarely red, hot ones. Aloha, Kelli BBB 6/4/06 @ 29wks 4 days GG 4/30/09
