Hi All. It's hard to believe the boys will 21 this May! They are all in college but one has learning disabilities and is struggling to keep going. As the other two head to their senior year, he is getting depressed, and although we have encouraged him to take things at his pace or work for a while or find a way to use the gifts he has, he still judges himself against the other two. All three go to different colleges, but he still feels bad. I am worried that if he quits he will feel like a failure watching his brothers. Any suggestions?

Try to support and encourage him the best that you can, Check in with him often. It is imperative that he finishes school.

My three are going to be juniors next year...two will take more than the four years to finish. One had to repeat some classes out of pocket because she didn;t make a C plus in the course(new requirement for teachers).

My other one switched her major three times and has to work part time to pay for school.She can't take as many hours.

The third was always an A student and must take at least 20 hours per session. She will graduate on time with one summer of summer school.

College is tough but you almost need it to get a decent job these days.
