Boy, I remember getting up for every serving (sounds more elegant than "feeding"!) for that first bit. I developed a good case of breast-envy. I would sit up with a bottle, feeding these tiny little guys, and dw would be laying down, breast feeding a babe while drifting off. Quite unfair! Dw never had enough milk for all three.
But we had it relative easy. For that first month after the Boys were released from the NICU, we were at my sister's house. No jobs or household duties, just take care of the Boys...with help with the day servings so that one of us could nap. My sister came back home with us for two weeks, then we were on our own...and two weeks after that, dw went back to work full-time (and pumped at work.) Then I went back to work (part time) a month after that. We could work our schedule so that generally, one of us was always home.
But anyway...having the Boys start to sleep thru the night would not have been such a special occurrance if we hadn't been tested with sleep deprevation first!
