Hi! We had an appt today and my neice's cervix has shortened from 5cm two weeks ago to 2.5 - 2.9cm . They put her on a monitor for a couple hours, but only saw a few minor contractions. They sent us home and have put her on bed rest until we go back on Thursday morning.

I'm just wondering how bad this is and what it means. I'm so nervous -- I'd be very appreciative for any advice/encouragement.
