What are some of the things you do for New Years Eve? It is such a weird holiday for us now that we have kids. Stay home go out? When the kids were little we especially didn't care about staying up. We slept when we could. Of course in the teen and young adult phase (for myself)I couldn't imagine not doing something amazing. Tonight we are taking advantage of a free babysitter and the fact that my husband dosen't have to work tomarrow and we are join the masses in doing a dinner and movie. I was just giving this some light thought as to what our family tradition might be in the future.

As a kid we either stayed at home with the older kids with a bunch of junk food and watched Rockin' Eve. At midnight we would bang pots and pans outside (we were so pleased with ourselves!) or we would do the same thing with our parents in the other roon zonked our for the last couple of hours of course they were to be awakened by the pots and pans at midnight.

We have thought about taking up the tradition of going out to breakfast New Years Day. Of course the idea is not original by any means, but sounds fun and easy.

By now, many of you are not to far away from the New Year because you are several hours ahead of Arizona.

Anyway...sorry for the randomness of my thoughts, but I thought that this could be a potentially interesting topic.

Ideas anyone???
