My kids were the same - no matter what time bedtime was they were up between 5:30-6:00. We went through a few horrible phases where they would get up at 4:45, but that never lasted long. So, bedtime was 6:00 pm for a long time, until this summer when the boys turned 3.5. Now they are in separate rooms so one is wiped out at 6:30 and the other goes down at 7:30. They both sleep for 12 hours still.

Here are a few other things that helped keep them from waking each other up...White noise machine in their room, and make it as dark as you can. I did blackout film, and blinds, and curtains, and foil around the edges where light still peeked through.

I could not live without crib tents. One son was afraid of it at first, but I had him spend time during the day just sitting in there to get used to it and after about a week he was totally fine. Mine were climbers too and I was a nervous wreck that they would get hurt. I know I would not have been any less nervous switching to beds when they started climbing, so crib tents it was. I have no plans to give them up any time soon.
