You are absolutely in one of the hardest stages I remember....
Mine are 8 now, and they are thrilled to be triplets. They know it is special, they always have their "people" around. That does not mean that it is always easy now, not at all. School is WAY harder with 3 at once, as are playdates, the expense of stuff they want, ect. But you will be amazed at how independent they are compared to other kids their age. I simply say bedtime, and my three know to brush their teeth and shut things down. I don't read 20 stories, spray for monsters, turn on nightlights, ect. They take their 5 year old sister, and go to bed.... my older singleton took 1/2 hour easily. My triplets pack their own lunches, and choose their own clothes. They are not unhappy about it, they are proud of themselves. I carpool with a neighbor to swim practice, and she laughs because she packs her little guy's towel, goggles, extra sweatshirt, dry tee, water bottle, ect. Then she picks up my girls who are standing in the driveway in suit and flipflops with googles on their wrists. They learn to only take what they NEED because they have to make the effort to pack it.
Being a triplet may mean they get less of you, but they get more of each other than singletons, I think that makes up for it in the end. Even though they don't get along all the time, they are an intregal part of each other's lives, and always have things to talk to each other about. They have their own friends, but they all know the same people, and have similar school lives (although they are in separate classes)

All that said, when they were 2-3 I would have locked myself in a padded room all day if possible, and evenings after they were in bed was my favorite part of the day. Hang in there.
