I didn't do anything for the first week and had full-time coverage. The next 3 weeks I had help but not full-time. I was very creative as far as getting the kids into and out of bed and bath. They were 18 months, so were mobile beings. I hung around on the floor and played and they crawled into my lap, (carefully) but no I didn't lift for a month total. It's pretty painful to do so, just like in any abdominal surgery..however the time goes by and it's just a blip!
