Thanks. I have been fighting to get him diagnosed for quite some time now. We have- taken him to a developmental ped and a neurologist. Both say he seems typical. To me it is so blatently obvious that he is somewhere on the spectrum but when I pressure the docs I get the crazy mother looks. My son has had issues since we brought him home. I am with him 24 hours a day but I guess that means nothing to them. I guess they are waiting for him to be non-verbal banging his head and flapping before they will say yep your right. Pisses me off so much. I wanna get early intervention for him so bad. I have been at this since he was 6 months old. So far the only one that will listen to me and agrees with my concerns is an OT that specializes in sensory issues and has a grandson on the spectrum.
