You can refuse to sign IEP, if their is one, or reject it IN PART due to the omission of services you feel are reasonable and necessary. If you had an outside evaluation done, did they give you any reccomendations??? I have 2 of my 3 lovelies with PDD-NOS, very high functioning due to good EI support. They will be 6 in a few weeks and are still recieving some support at school....since they need help to Initiate conversation AND sustain a converstion with age appropriate peers. My boys get speech therapy 2x/week....once as pull out services in small group to work on phonics ( they were speech delayed at first) and the 2nd visit for in the class to help with initiation of proper converstion skills with classmates!!
Good luck!
Amy
