Scott, my trio was born at 24 weeks 3 days and spent 4 and 5 months in the NICU. Abby came home on oxygen and was on it until she was 16 months old! If the NICU DRs haven't already,I would request a pediatric pulmonologist to come in and consult on your son's case. You will need a FANTASTIC pulmonologist for all your boys once they are home anyway so start getting referrals now. My Daughters are almost 5 and their lungs are doing fantastic! Almost like they were full-term babies. I credit our pulmonologist. He saved their lungs, their lives and the life of one of their little brothers too. :-D
