How did you all handle this? This is our first winter with crib tents and blankets in the crib. The kids wore sleepsacs or wearable blankets before this. They love the blankets but of course do not keep them on. Usually after I leave the room they stand up and socialize. Now when my DS wants to lay back down he is mad the blanket isn't magically on him. He was just upstairs screaming and crying "put my blanket on." He had been to bed for almost 2 hours before I had to get him back up because he was hysterical. I went up once and put blankets back on all 3. That is a problem because when I go back in the room they think they should get up again. They didn't get their way this time. The girls finally settled down and went to sleep. DS didn't.

Also, I would love to go back in before I go to bed and cover everyone. Their room isn't that warm and I think they could use a blanket. Crib tents are wonderful but they have LOUD zippers and tend to wake my kids up. In the middle of the night last night I put DD#1 back to bed after a brief wake up. The zipper woke up DS. His screaming and DH unzipping his crib tent woke up DD#2.

I can't go through this every night. Does anyone have any advice about this? "Put my blanket on" could become a stall tactic for going to bed very easily but I don't want cold kids.
