I have a Honda Pilot. Although I only have two, I am pretty sure three seats could easily fit across the second row, as I've put the base behind both the passenger and driver seats; although you do need to be relatively short, if you like lots of leg room the driver/passenger seats, when fully pushed back, will bump the car seats. There's lots of cargo space if you push back the last row of seats, and the car runs great.
