#1476, "RE: How did you decide when you were "done" having"

Well, our decision was basically made for us when we found out we were having 3 more! We knew from that moment on that we would have no more! We had always talked about having 3 kids TOTAL. After my 2nd was born, dh would have been perfectly happy with just them. But I wanted to try for a girl - HA! Anyway, it's a personal decision. Finances are always an issue, paying enough attention to each child, spreading yourself out too thin. If you are undecided, perhaps don't NOT try for a while. See what happens. If you get pregnant, then great. If you don't get pregnant, then great too. Perhaps you can figure out what you REALLY want by the reaction you have to finding out you're pregnant/not pregnant. Good luck to you!
