LOL - money under the couch...I remember when my kids did that, but now they have a better grasp on the value of money. They love getting money for the birthdays now.
They also earn $20 each once a month by Irish Step dancing at a local Irish pub. They go right to the bank with their own bank books to deposit their earnings. Jack is ahead of the girls in savings because his friends gave him money for his birthday and the girls friends gave them gifts.

My three have always been in the same classroom so they get the same homework. The older they get, the more homework, ugh! They are pretty selfsufficient with it, but do occasionally need my help. I tell them to try to work on the same subject at the same time, so I can help them as a group. I use a white board to work out math problems so they can all see. DS got into the habit of telling us he did his work at school. That caught up with him when the teacher called to say he wasn't completing his assignments. Next year I am going to let the school place them wherever. I won't request they be together. I figure they will be switching classes throughout the day, so I don't need to consider a particular teacher I want them to have - they will have them all.

All three want both mom and dad at all of their games. They go to each others games too. We cheer as a family. I drop off and pick up for most practices though, no need to stick around to watch all the practices at this age.

Off the subject - but I see you are from the U.P. I'm from Southeast Michigan. I have only been to the U.P. once in my life as a child. I want to take the kids up there someday for a vacation.
