Baby food is usually applesauce consistancy stuff.

Stage one...very smooth applesauce consistancy
Stage two...Gritty applesauce consistancy
Stage three...chunky applesauce consistancy

Most skip stage three because babies are usually going to your table food by then, or they don't do well with the mixed consistancy of chunks and the applesauce stuff.
