Autism seems to have two definitions. Most of the professionals I have met with seem to believe that there is a genetic basis for Autism, which is not regressive and does not "get better." Then there is the type of Autism which is believed to be environmental. For example, Jenny McCarthy's kid was injured by a vaccine, which brought about symptoms of Austim. My son has Fragile X. I have not had the girls tested yet and am not sure if I ever will. There is no "pulling him back". Maybe for Kaedence? But not for Kaeleb.

I wish there were more answers than questions for my kids. I get that they are behind, but I do not believe them to lack intellectual abilities. In fact, if I had to give my personal two cents on Kaeleb, I think he is incredibly intelligent. He can work puzzles like nobody's business. He can operate upon his environment to achieve whatever climbing goal he has set in his mind. He can count to twenty!!! Granted, he's not counting anything in particular, he's just repeating that sequence over and over again, and it's the only words that he knows other than "oopsy" and "wow". LOL! But, nonetheless, he can count to twenty!

ABA, RDI, OT, PT, and speech. Believe me, this kid is involved in every service available in our area. We've got behaviorist, therapists, peds, neurologists, etc on our team trying to navigate the best course of action. I have been as proactive as I know how to be. I think it just hit me so hard that they said he was retarded. I really, truly, with everything I am, do not believe that to be true. I just gotta get my feet back underneathe me.

Ahhh, a church family. I wish I had that here. We have yet to establish a church home in GA. Taking my monkeys to a confined environment is not something we willing partake in! LOL! That has considerably limited our ability to find a church home. Well, that and my husband traveling so often. The idea of taking my six to a new church solo shakes me to my bones! LOL! But, yes, that needs to be a priority and it is whole in my life that needs to filled...for so many reasons.

Oh, the outfits! Oh my goodness I can't tell you enough what a lifesaver you are! Your sewing ability is a talent to behold! Most of our outfits from Abbi have been outgrown and worn through. My little man is certainly healthy in size! How and where do I measure him? The prospect of more Cat miracle garments has me giddy! I can't tell you how many times a day I am scrubbing poop off my walls. It's enough to drive a person mad! And I am a germ freak, so it makes me want to crawl out of my skin!!! Tell me how to measure him and what measurements are needed and I will send those to you ASAP!!!
