I liked everyone's suggestions. I would add going to the library and getting tons and tons of different alphabet books and number books and reading them and make him read to YOU the letters and then go over the sounds. It's all about repetition. Just repeat it over and over and over.
Alphabet puzzles are great too. It will help him identify the shape. That is how mine learned all the states by learning their shapes. Michele
