I have been truly SHOCKED to see the difference between the way my full-term, completely typical kid learns vs. the triplets. Elise is completely average. I don't think she's gifted or anything - just normal. But when I watch how easily learning comes to her compared to the triplets, it's truly amazing. I remember going over the stupid animal noises for like a YEAR (the cow says MOOO, etc.) with the triplets before they got it all straight. I went over it like 3 times with Elise and she knew them all. That kind of thing. I don't know if it is b/c the triplets were preemies or what. I do have concerns about one having a mild LD, but the others I think are OK. But I do know that they couldn't keep up if their class was full of kids like Elise! Full-term really is different.
