I'll admit. It wasn't until last year when I really started to do some major academics with the girls.

When they were little, we partied! LOL! We took walks. We went to the zoo. We played. We had picnics. We bounced in the bounce house. Just like all of you did, I'm sure.

I just felt spent after basic needs and just having fun; I had no strength to conduct a little school session at home as much as I should have done.

Then, when they turned three, they were off to pre-school for what I thought was fun AND getting ready for Kindergarten. And it was. If anything, it was more fun and a little break for me.

Michele, I understand your view: what's so bad about not being the smartest in the class? I get that.

More than wanting them to be the rocket scientists in the class, I want them to be happy and confident, KWIM? I want them to love school and crave to learn and set the examples. The last thing I want to do is push them on to first grade where they're unsure and frustrated.
