#974, "RE: After school behavior"

We go through that every year! It stinks. I have finally figured out that their after school behavior is a sort of "release" after working so hard in school keeping themselves together and trying to do the right thing all day. After school, one of mine just vegges (sp?), one is super silly and hyper, and one is nasty and mean. Lunch or a snack after school asap has helped a bit, but it is still tough. Don't worry, it is totally typical. My experience has been that toward the end of September, their systems kind of adjust and things get pretty much back to normal. Good luck!
