RE: Feeding.
OK 2 of mine eat and suck down 32 oz a day - 4 bottles a day. Then there is the little one....
ABout a week ago suddenly she is fighting hte bottle. EVERY bottle. She is the most perfect angel all day then she immeediatlry wants to play with the bottle and not eat. THEN she starts kicking screaming and pushing the bottle away. Screaming bloody murder. THat is before she even ate 1 oz. Soon as you put the bottle down she is all smiles. But move for it and SCREAMMMMM.
I had them started on cereal and solids, and she took to the spoon just fine, but then her bottle oz total went down so I figured she was the littlest one that need to gain more weight I should stop solids until we ge thte bottle down good. What should I Do? THey all have reflux as well. Feel bad almost force feeding her but she needs to gain weight. Otehr than that perfect baby all around. SHould I go back to solids since she has no issues with them and eating them or what should I try or do.. TIA I appreciate the adivce.

One of my DS just went through the exact same thing but he was 7 months old. One day he decided that he was a toddler and wanted turkey and rice, sweet potatoes, etc. He would maybe take 3-4 oz (if that much!) out of his 7oz bottle fighting it all the way! He too was all smiles. So, I tried a couple of things. I waited a little while and offered him the rest of the bottle...but no go. Then I mixed the remaining formula with cereal and he would eat every bite. Sometimes I would have to mix his whole bottle with cereal (a lot of cereal). He was taking in a lot of calories and my pedi said this was fine but she hoped that it was a phase he was going through. I did this for about 2 weeks and now he is back to taking 6 oz of his bottle but he loves solids.
I would offer your DD more solids....At least cereal. I think that she is going through a phase and will start taking her bottle again soon. If she doesn't in a couple of weeks, you should call your Pedi. Good Luck

My boys sometimes have times when they just want to play with the bottle or squirm all around etc, but no screaming like you're describing. I take the bottle away and feed the next one. When I get back to them 20 min or so later, then they usually eat. Or like this morning, I finally just had to prop the bottle for one because he was acting up so much. And he drank it calmly. Doesn't sound like quite the same situation, but thought I'd share anyway.

You've gotten some really good suggestions so far, and I wouldn't worry a lot as long as she's not loosing weight. It could be teething issues.
My DD eats at least a bottle less than her brothers everyday, but really likes her solids. When she tries to skip 2 bottles, I sneak in a "dream feed" after she's gone to sleep and she will usually drain the whole bottle then.
If you're really worried, don't hesitate to call the pediatrician. They can check her weight and growth and reassure you or help you with a solution if necessary.

I had one like that too. He is now 9.5 months old and sometimes still like this!
Here's what I do.
DISTRACTION!!! I turn on the TV, or Baby Einstein video or sing some goofy song (believe it or not, they like the Harlem Globetrotters song -- dont ask!). Often, he'll go from fighting the bottle to draining it if the TV or video is on (and he can see it, of course). We also have 2 dogs and 3 cats. If one of the cats is in the room and he's watching it, he'll drain the bottle.
CEREAL!!! I have also used this trick that someone else suggested...feed him more cereal just to get the formula in. I have even mixed formula/cereal in with carrots (his fave.)
When a little bit older...I dropped them down to 3 bottles/day and changed out one bottle for 4 oz of Yo-Baby Yogurt with cereal. Has all the iron and B vitamins, plus calcium. They are very happy with the yogurt, but it is very expensive (and YUMMY, made with whole milk).

I had to start mixing their cereal with nursery water - as they all have refluz ad when i mixed it with formula they would spit it out jsut as much as the bottles. With water.. they havent. Distraction helps for a bit too. FUNNY - I cant even think how the harlem globetrotters song goes LOL. hehehe THanks

My trio really dropped in milk consumption after starting solids as well...they just loved the solids, and decided that they weren't drinking much milk.
I tried to stop solids in the early days to increase their milk intake, but to no success, maybe it would work for you.
Good luck PS one trick I did was I put alot of milk in their cereal, that way they thought they were eating solids even though it was really soupy. Takes alot of time to spoon it in...but at least it gets in.
