#159923, "When did you start to get really uncomfortable?"

Hi,

I'm almost 31 weeks and I'm finding there is no real position, standing, sitting or horizontal that makes me comfortable. This is probably about right for where I am, right? My Dr. advised me to take Tylenol PM to help me sleep and it really helps. Is anyone else taking this?

I used unisom to help me sleep sometimes. Hang in there... I know you are uncomfortable, but it wont be for much longer!!!

Pillows, pillows, pillows! I had two body pillows (one in front of me & one behind) plus a bunch of regular pillows tucked here there and everywhere to make me comfy. Or at least less uncomfy. Hange in there - not much longer now!

I was in the hospital at that point and was on Ambien every night. It really helped me sleep -- you might want to ask about it.

And yes, this is about the time that NO position is comfortable. I remember trying to stay on my side and actually bruised a nerve in my hip area. It was painful and lasted a while. Your body is just overextended at this point.

Hang in there though. These are the important weeks and every day counts. My Dr. told me that up until 28 weeks every week they stay in counts...after that it goes to every day. Every single day you can push through makes a difference and you are already doing a GREAT job! It WILL be worth it.

I was also in the hospital at that point and I also agree with the Ambien. Worked wonders. Of course I was still up and down to the bathroom every couple of hours throughout the night, but at least I could fall asleep after I went through my pillow stuffing/restuffing ritual! Have you tried a recliner? That was a nice change for me every now and then. There was a jacuzzi tub in the hospital that I got to use a couple of times a week, that was the only time I could say I was actually comfortable.

It was ok until 32w and then I remember the last month as torture. I never took anything for sleep, and I didn't sleep either.

Pubic bone pain, not being able to roll over (got out of bed to switch sides), belly splitting in two.

The only consolation is that my group turned 5 last weekend and it seems a very, very long time ago. This too shall pass, but I wouldn't wish that last month on anyone!
