i just got back from my 28 week apointment, and the ultrasound teck discovered a 4th baby! it took an hour of the doctor doing an ultrasound before he would admit that there was another baby, but he finally agreed with the teck. my husband and i are in total shock! we don't know what sex the forth is, becasue b and c's legs are in the way, but we do know that all four babies are in the normal range for size and heartbeats. they are all in their own little sacks. and i'm still doing great, no issues or contractions so far. doctor says i still have a great chance to make it to 36 weeks. i am thinking of cutting work back to half days though, getting kinda tired LOL doctor says that i can quit at anytime wiht his full support.

my blood pressure is up a little today though, gee i wonder why LOL

has this happened to anyone else? i mean, i would have thought they would have detected the other baby sooner!

Congratulations, first of all. Sounds like you are doing great...other than the shock of adding another baby to your bunch!

I have to tell you I have a similar story. My husband and I found out at around 12 weeks we were having twins, then a few weeks later found out they were both boys, then at 21 weeks another baby appeared...another boy! Our Dr. was so surprised he had not detected it sooner. He himself had done the previous 2 ultrasounds and never picked up on another baby. The first photo we have from the 12 week ultrasound is of two little babies, so where that 3rd little one was hiding, we'll never know. Telling everyone the news was so much fun, no one believed us and we kept showing them the pictures of the ultrasound and they still had a hard time believing us.

Hoping you have a safe and healthy remainder of your pregnancy. And that you will get some sleep in the coming nights. I know I couldn't sleep after finding out that news. Every appointment we teased him, making him double check that there wasn't a 4th!
