#1970, "Night toilet training- what to use?"
|
2 of my bbg are completely day trained. What do I put on them until they are night trained? Currently we use Huggies Overnights and have had NO leaks. However, they are a pain to take on/off when the kids want to go potty since they are a "diaper". I am specifically looking for a "pull-up" type that will NOT LEAK (they still pee a ton at night even after going right before bed). They are tiny (29-30 pounds at 3.5 years), so they are too small for the Huggies Goodnights (which start at 45 pounds).
Thanks!

How much do they drink in the evening? Could you cut back on that, do you think? My guys used to drink a lot of juice with supper and they used to be soaked. We changed to water, which they drink less of, and they are "cut-off" after 6pm, with only about an ounce or two if they are really thirsty at bedtime. It has helped a lot, although they still have occasional accidents at 4.

Like Fiona, we limit our gggs liquid intake after 6:00 p.m. You can also try waking up your kiddos at night and taking them to the bathroom if you don't think they'll stay dry till morning. Please disregard my suggestions if they aren't what you're looking for or if you've already tried them and didn't work out for you. Sorry, I have no suggestions on a small "pull-up" type of diaper. Good luck! -- Gloria

My kids all wore pull-ups (actually the generic brands of "pull-ups") until they were night trained. I never once had a leak. They do come in small sizes. My kids were 22-29 pounds when they were day trained and I started using the generic pull-ups at night.

My boys wear pull-ups and never have any problems. I do limit their fluids after dinner. They drink their milk and dinner and then I don't give them anything until bedtime. They then only have a sip of water right before bed. Good luck!
