#2193, "My pukers are done!!"

Hi everyone. Just a quick note. All of you out there who have/had babies with reflux can relate to the joy I am feeling today. It's like the day your babies are born almost. Like the commercials for Viagra where everyone is dancing in the streets. I have been puked on by two babies for nine (and a half) months, thus resulting in piles and piles of laundry and stained furniture and ruined clothes and demoralization and others preferring to hold the third (non-puker) and have finally had a day where neither of them puked. I can't begin to relate the joy I am feeling. I am hesitant to get too excited because it could be back tomorrow. Ben puked so much yesterday that I did have to change his clothes just after I got them all dressed and the girls in their snow suits. Anyway, that's my news. Happy, happy, happy. Babies are all doing well. Ben is 23 lb now, Claire is 22, and Olivia is 19. She is so tiny and looks so much thinner than them, but they are all at about 30 inches long, so she is just as tall as them. I used to worry because she was a picky eater but she eats a lot now. So, against all odds, we may just have a dainty baby. We are currently in the process of trying to set up some renovations on our house so that is pretty exciting. And I am waiting for word from my sister soon. She moved back home in December and will be having twins any time. She will be 35 weeks on Thursday, so we are pretty happy. She is only 5'4" tall so you can imagine how big she is. ANyway, it is definitely bed time. Hope all is well out there. Birthdays coming up soon. Time flies when you are exhausted!!!!! I love this life. I am amazed and look at them in shock sometimes. I can't believe I have triplets. And they are wonderful easy-going babies. Just a pleasure to be with. Currently, they are all dealing with cold/ear infections so they have not been sleeping well and have not been their usual selves, but still lovely. I am in love with my children. Hope you all had a great holiday season. Chinese new year soon. Is it the year of the rooster next? I am not sure. Last year was the year of the goat. And the dog (me) is supposedly not compatible with the goat (my babies and one of my best friends). We'll see.

Holy Cow Patti, your kids weigh as much at nine months as mine did at 2 years EXACTLY! Kate was 23, Matt 22 and Thomas 19, you sure are Growing them big and healthy! WTG! In fact, I've got one that just barely clears 25 lbs and mine just turned 4!

Mine have been sick with respiratory yuck for the last 4 to 6 weeks. I suspect an ear infection in Kate, but I'm not a fan of over usage of antibiotics, and only one of the days did she complain of ear pain, and since that day she's been quite normal in behavior and tempurature.

So glad to hear that your babies are ending the reflux zone! I'm sure that is quite the relief. We didn't have any reflux, but we did have one aspirator, who STILL aspirates at 4.

Congrats to your sister on the impending birth of her twins, and to you on impending aunt-dom (if thats a phrase, lol)!
