I'm still very early in my pregnancy (a few minutes away from 11 weeks), this is the farthest I've gotten with any pregnancy and my husband and I are both very pleased and nervous (I'm also type 1 diabetic). Anyway, I've been shopping around for strollers that would accomodate triplets and have only found one. If anyone out there knows of any links for finding things for triplets, please advise.

The only stroller I would recommend for triplets is the Runabout. I started using mine when the babies 3 months old, but before then we really did not take the babies out for fear of them getting sick. Most likely your babies will be pre-mature - typically 2 months.
The Runabout is nice because it can really accomodate the weight of 3 babies as they grow and will work up to 55 pounds per seat. When they are little the seats will recline. And the seats are in-line making it super easy to get throug narrow doorways and onto elevators.
However, since you are so early into your pregnancy, there are about a million other things you need before a stroller. So, I don't know if I would order one right away or it will just one more darn thing to store until you can use it. The price is a little steep (you can save buy buying one used) but they are worth every single penny. At 22 months my babies enjoy this stroller all the time, indoors and out.
Here's the link to check out the Runabout Stroller: http://www.bergdesign.net/runabout.htm
Good luck with your pregnancy. If you have not already discovered Dr. Barbara Luke's book "While You Are Expecting Twins, Triplets or Quads" that would be my very first purchase.

Carrie,
Congrats on your pregnancy. We have the Triple Decker stroller, and love it. It uses the infant car seats, and they snap into the stroller without disturbing the babies. Makes it very easy to go out on your own. Since it uses the infant seats, you will need to sell it when they get too big for the seats, and get a different stroller, but it has a great resale value. If you feel industrious, you can adapt alternate seats to it and keep using it as long as you want. The website is www.tripledeckerstroller.com Good Luck!

We started out with a new Inglinsina quad stroller. We used this until they were about 20 mos. then we bought a used runnabout and a used peg. I loved the Inglisina for when they were babies for long walks in the park, but the runnabout was the most practical. At 3.5 we move to a choo-choo wagon and now at 5 we walk. I wish they would go into a stroller now!!!!

Carrie Congratualtions on your pregnancy. I hope it goes smoothly. Here is a post I did a while back about triplet strollers. It has been a while since I typed it and I know some of the prices may have changed so you might want to check them. Sorry I don't have time now to double check it all. But gives you the basics on what is out there. Happy shopping.
When choosing your stroller(s) you need to think about your situation and your personality. If you will be having help with you everyday or don’t mind being stuck at home all day until DH gets home then a double and a single might be cheaper options. If you have a strong back and are coordinated you might be able to do the double and a carrier. But if you are going to be alone during the day like I am and get cabin fever easy then I would recommend a triple. I take the grocery shopping, to the mall, library, museum, park or anywhere I want to go by myself.
Here are your choices:
The cheapest are the J. Madison and the Babytrend ($249 at Babies R Us). It is my understanding the J. Madison and Babytrend are almost identical so I am grouping them together. Neither of these are that well respected among the triplet community. The common feeling is they are not very sturdy and kids outgrow them quickly. But they are the least expensive and will do in a pinch or if money is really tight. But plan on replacing it in 6 months to a year with a better triplet stroller. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000056C9B/qid=1039622517/br=1-8/ref=br_lf_ba_8//103-1753445-0064669?v=glance&s=baby&n=542436

The TripleDecker. This is an infant only stroller. You take the infant seats out of the car and they snap into the frame. I believe you have to have a specific infant carrier so check the web site. You can only use this stroller while they still fit in the infant carriers. So think used to save money. It also is supposed to have great resale value even when bought used. Check the Triplet Connection Mall in the used stroller section. http://www.doubledeckerstroller.com/index.shtml The Runabout ($665 at Triplet Connection + the cost of accessories) This is the most popular stroller on this site by far. I can talk most about this one because it is the one I have. Its large wheels make it easy push on any terrain and is perfect for shopping or jogging around the neighbor hood. It does not fold down, but the seats are easily removed to load in some vehicles or you can get a car carrier to mount it to the back. This stroller also has excellent resale. http://tripletconnection.org/st_runab.html
The Peg Perego ($608 on the Triplet Connection). This is the 2nd most popular stroller on this site. You can also find this one used to save money. Note this stroller was remodeled in 2001 (one improvement was putting swivel wheels). I don’t have a link to the old style but it was still loved even back then and some still prefer it. Just make sure you know which you are buying if buying used so you get the one you want. Has great resale. http://www.tripletconnection.org/st_pereg.html
The Inglesina ($639 at Strollers4less.com) This is the 3rd most popular stroller on this site. It has two seats that are side by side and then 1 tandem. Making it shorter than some of the other strollers but wider than the tandem strollers. Some people have posted here that they had problems fitting though regular sized doors, while others say it is no problem. I guess measuring before buying would be a good thing just to be sure. Has great resale. http://www.inglesina.us/prodotti/list.php3?sectionid=35&sesid=
The Baby jogger ($449 at Strollers4less.com) This is a jogging stroller with all three seats side by side. With it being so wide it isn’t really practical for shopping trips and you would have problems getting though most doorways. I am not sure if it folds or not. http://babycatalog.com/cgi-bin/WebStore/index.cgi?gl=strollers/TR_Jogger.html&c_id=2884221.7885&store=bca.setup
The mountain Buggy ($649 at link below). This is also a side by side jogger. It does fold for easier transport. Would also be hard to push around stores. http://shopping.netledger.com/app/site/site.nl?site=ACCT62935&mode=items&sc=2&category=16
Okay ladies did I miss any? I tried to keep the pros and cons to a minimum to keep my personal bias as low as possible. I would be happy to give my opinion on each stroller if you would like. But I will tell you I only have personal experience with the Babytrend and the Runabout.
Here is my opinion on those two: I loved the Babytrend when they were very small but grew to hate it by the time they were 6 months old. I can only recommend this stroller if financially it is your only option or if you have money to spend on a short term stroller to be replaced by a more expensive one when they get bigger. If I could do it over again I would have started with the Runabout. I love it! I am able to go shopping by myself because it can be steered with 1 hand. I push the stroller with one hand and pull a cart with the other. It is also great for outdoor walks with those big wheels. I wouldn’t trade it for any other stroller on the market. I value my independence to much! I also have the Car carrier which makes life even easier. I just roll the stroller up and strap it down. Takes less than 2 mins and I am off. Here are some pictures I posted of the carrier on my van: http://www.tripletconnection.org/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcboard.cgi?az=show_thread&om=847&forum=DCForumID3
I relied on the recommendations of the other mothers here before buying the Runabout. I was nervous about spending so much on a stroller sight unseen. Especially since we are on an extremely tight budget. But I have never regretted it. In my mind now there is no other triplet stroller. Now when I learned I was expecting again I started saving to upgrade to the Quad Runabout I love it so much!
I will leave it to the parents who have the other strollers to give you their opinions of those strollers.

I have to toss my support into the wring as well. We bought one when they were newborns, and DH used it at least twice, sometimes 3 times a day for many many walks, most of them at least two miles, sometimes more. The frame never bent, we had one wheel wear out, and at that point the stroller had logged so many miles, and the babies were close to two that we retired the poor thing.
YES the middle baby is cheated, not on seat space but on foot space, we had to turn his/her feet sideways to get them into the foot well. other than that, it wasn't a bad stroller. I paid about $240 for it if I recall...

I have 3 + 1 so in addition to having a quad runabout, I have a very nice twin side-by-side. It is great for the quick run in, or if someone is with me. In the beginning, I would baby bjorn one baby and the other two would ride in the stroller. It was a lot easier than the runabout. But you really can't live without the runabout either.
Hope it helps.

Congrats and best wishes on your pg. I would like to second the vote for the the triple decker..I've been taking my guys out since day one and this stroller is great. They are currently turning 6 months and will soon be too big for the carseats but up until this point it has been GREAT. The only draw back for the triple decker that I've found has been the underneath basket..it stinks. It's held on by 6 velcro straps and is not very durable. I've been using snap on hooks for shopping bags and etc. and it's been working out well. The next step for us is the RunAbout. I really don't have too much of an opinion yet on that one cause we haven't used it yet. Best of luck in your search. If your not in a rush I'm sure we'll be posting our triple decker, Evenflo carseats and carseat bases soon. Our boys are just getting too heavy for me to carry in the carseats. Again, best of luck
