how did her surgery go? Hope she is home and doing well

Hi! Britt's surgery went great! They removed the oil bubble that had been placed to hold her retina flat while it healed, and did some tests. We had been told she would have to stay in the hospital for observation because of her weight and due to the fact that she had a problem with an elevated blood pressure after her last surgery. But everything went so well this time that they let her come home the same day. The surgeon is pleased with her progress, and she goes to see her regular eye doctor tomorrow so he can check for infection, and then we can take off the eye shield. Next challenge is getting the insurance company to pay for her contact!

Yeah, Britt!!! Your children seem to be doing fantastic - I am so happy for you! Do you recall the family I told you about in my local group whose 25 weekers were born a few weeks after yours? Well, they are thriving as well and exceeding so many doctor's expectations. As scary as it is to have babies come that early, I think it is good for people to know that they can have a good outcome. I believe both your families are good examples of the miracles that do happen. Take care and I hope you have good luck with your insurance company!
