#2626, "Mama's Updates (Mirroring the Darkside!)"
|
Have we done just general updates lately? I know there are a lot of us around and I haven't been a regular lately, so I have missed out on a lot of stuff. So I thought maybe reintroductions and general updates could be fun!
So heres me...
Life is finally settling down I think. We have a good system for us now. We just flip-flopped the triplets room with the living room, so now their bedroom is a den and the living room is the nursery/play room. I think it might just save my sanity! Greg (aka Shrek0914) is working 3rd shift from home, so he takes care of the babies at night while he works from midnight to 9 am. Then he sleeps during the day (or tries to, when there isn't doctors appointments etc!...my husband is AWESOME!)
Ashleigh is still spending every other weekend with us, and she loves taking care of the babies and singing to them.
Cameron is doing wonderful in school I am happy to note. Our biggest problem with him right now is that he has become a very picky eater and can't seem to get along with his 4 year old sister.
Likewise, Alexis tends to butt heads with Cameron a lot! We still think she is going to grow up to be in the entertainment industry, we just hope its not the adult side
Rylee is learning new things by leaps and bounds, he is talking up a storm now at 20 months. We are working on potty training too, it will be nice to get down to 3 in diapers. He is very polite for under two, he says excuse me when he burps (or any other bodily noise including hiccups!) and says "Yes Sir" to daddy.
Greg is still going out of state 8 hours away from home for a 4 day weekend once a month to visit Jeremy. We hope to adjust that soon so that he is able to bring him here some too.
The triplets are doing wonderful! I have posted recently about Brittany because of her eye surgery. The girls are almost 10 months old now, 6 1/2 months adjusted. Victoria is just over 18 pounds, so it looks like she is going to catch up early. Jenna is 15, and Brittany is nearly 16 pounds! Such a long way from there little pound and a half birth weights!
Victoria loves being in the excersaucer now, and she plays with toys all the time. This morning she woke up around 4 am for some reason and stayed awake talking to Daddy through the doorway for hours until the rest of us got up. She likes to blow raspberries, and we think its a great thing since she will mimic you. Every milestone is a big one! Tori is going to be our thumb sucker for sure.
Jenna is the grinner, although they all smile a lot now. She has been drooling a lot, I think we may have teeth soon. She is also the strongest of the three and likes to push up a lot. Jenna will probably be the first to crawl. She sat up today for about 5 minutes with the help of the boppy. Jenna is a cloth sucker, always with the end of a blanket or a sleeve in her mouth.
Brittany is doing great now that she is finally through with her eye surgeries. She is a bit slower than the other two, but not really lagging. She loves her belly and pushes up to look around. Britt does the funniest thing I have ever seen a baby do...she will lay on her back and push up with her feet and back with her head so she is doing almost a perfect backbend! She is babbling and loves to say da da da. She can't focus with her right eye yet (she has no lens in that eye right now) so she goes cross eyed a lot when she concentrates, which is adorable! Hopefully we will be working on that soon though. She had to go see a heart specialist after her blood pressure scare after her surgery a few months ago, but he said she is perfect.
All three babies are healthy and happy and growing fast! I couldn't be happier or more thankful.

Your house is certainly busy. I love your updates. My triplets were born at 30 weeks. Heather weighed 3-9 and now weighs 15-8 and does razzberries. Benjamin weighed 3-7 now 17-4 and has his first tooth and gets up on his elbows and knees and rocks and Zachary(3-2 now 15-2) will sometimes roll over. See my post 'have some questions'. i hope Brittany eyes get better.

It sounds like you have a great family! My trio are now 2 1/2 and the changes happen everyday. Two talk in complete sentences and it is fun to have conversations with them. The other is talking really well too but is just a quieter little person. Mischief and mayhem are the mainstay of their days. Also included are many trips to the potty---YEAH!! They all three can spell their name out loud, know the shapes square, circle, triangle and rectangle, can count to 10 and sing about five songs start to finish. I am a proud mommy. Thanks for this uplifting post.
