Just a general question to find out when everyone switched to a bigger nipple size for the bottle? We are feeding with Dr. Browns and still on a level 1 at 3.5 months. I am thinking of trying a level 2 but am hesitant as my boys already gulp down their food so fast as it is. Both boys are refluxers so I don't want to have them gulp it down even faster and throw up even more.

My boys have reflux too. We didn't go to level 2 until 4 months and it still took time for them to adjust. I just noticed them getting frustrated during feedings, (like they weren't getting it fast enough) so I switched. One of my boys eats really fast, I'll pull the bottle out a lot and it makes him slow down.

Thanks for the input. I often have to pull the bottle out as well since my biggest tries to inhale it as fast as he can! I may try to switch in the next few weeks and see how it goes.

I switched my daughter to level 2 very fast (1 month or so) because she drank so slowly but didn't switch my boys for a while. If they are doing well, I wouldn't bother switching. Years ago, there were no different nipple sizes. If it isn't broke, don't fix it!
