SHAME ON ALL OF YOU who left comments like she the one above! How dare you ASSume to know what her life may be like. As parents of Higher order multiples we should be more compassionate than this. Do we not have people telling us the same thing about our lives and we get upset over this.
YES, she is really young. YES, they all have different fathers.
YES....she CAN have SPONTANIOUS multiples WITHOUT drugs TWICE! It DOES happen.
Do you have any idea what her life must be like? Her culture is way different that most of ours. Her life must be hell. But it is HER life. I , for one, feel sorry for her. That is an INCREADIBLE burden for such a young little GIRL. Maybe she has PTSD, or depression.....my bet is that she got pregnant by the same guy that was beating her that is the father of the other set of triplets, but I guess that most of you have never been in an abusive relationship and wouldn't know how that works....right? For all any of you know, this girl could be covering up for a family friend or relative that rapes her....ever think of that? Nope, I'll bet you don't. It happens....especially in countries like Argentins. Think before you judge.
There ARE people on TC who have TRIED to become pregnant with a second set of multiples.....do you judge them? I guarentee that this poor girl did not try to do this.
The children look healthy and happy. The knife and "raw meat" on the counter are cultural....as are the cluttered living conditions, but I will guess that if anyone was to check on these SEVEN children, they would all be very well cared for.
'I just had to speak out for her, sorry if anyone disagrees.

I was purely putting it out there. The chances of a 16 y/o having spontaneous fraternal triplets twice is very low. (if she were an older mom I would say it was more likely as older women have a higher insidence of spontaneous frats) I don't even know if they are frat's or identicals, as no one has answered that question.
That said when I was pregnant with the triplets I "ran into" serveral girls on the internet taking NON-prescribed clomid in the hopes of having multiples.
I don't have a problem with teens getting pregnant and taking care of their children, but I DO have a problem with a girl getting pregnant several times and not taking any precautions. In argentina they DO have birth control, and it's widely available.
I sympathize with her, but the article raises questions....that's all I am saying. Christa Mommy of: Reagan, "Queen Bee" Ethan, "Mr. Cuddles" Delaney, "Da Boss" Addison, "Sweet Pea" Joel, "Super Sillies"

I have to agree with you ...... When you become a mom the first time, your life changes...your kid or kids need to become your priority.... and to me...her priorities are screwed up.
And I was a teenage parent...that got the you know what knocked out of me by my oldest sons dad....but once I had my son...and realized what he would be learning if I stayed in that situation, I left...Yes it was hard...I was broke, I was on welfare for awhile, BUT I DID NOT GET PREGNANT AGAIN!! (that is, until Iwas married and financially ready.) I understand people make mistakes, and I have no problem helping people in bad circumstances make their life better, but when someone keeps making the same wrong decisions, do they honestly think theyll end up with a different result?
To me it doesnt matter how she had the triplets, naturally or taking clomid or whatever, after her first pregnancy she shouldnt have gotten pregnant again. And for the triplet moms etc that want more, I say more power to them...if they can raise them and afford to....I can guarantee you that if I was alone, I wouldnt be aiming for another baby...let alone multiples..My DH and I love kids...and cant wait for our babies to get here...and Im sure down the road we would have those...maybe one more baby thoughts...bt then reality would kick in and we know we cant afford it financially....so...hes having a vasectomy so we wont accidentally be put in that position.

I disagree. First time, is oops...second time...uh oh... third time and you know something MUST change. You are right that it could be not her fault, but if not, then what about her mother, whose house she lives in? What about her extended family? What about church or community. If she is not responsible for her actions...ie rape...then her children MUST be removed before those six beautiful girls are raped too. There is just too much about this that speaks of something very wrong.
I have two friends from South America who have such harrowing life tales that they make me very grateful I am here, not there. But...they talk about the same issues we have here...people want something for nothing and the ones who want to improve their life have many chances to do so, but still not as many as we have here.
The whole point is that as a multiple mom, we KNOW what hardship she has taking care of these kids, and yet....no one suggests that she or family should change their lives to not create an even bigger blooming mess. What are we going to hear about next year...a THIRD set of triplets...Twins, Quads or perhaps, if she is lucky, a singleton...
If you value personal choice...you must accept personal responsibility...without it the system will crash. This situation reminds me of the book...the Clockwork Orange.

Never had I posted a disagreement like this. But after reading what you said it really p****d me off. I know we all have the right to our own opinions, so here's mine.
Not approving the comment above is one thing but the statements you have made are uncalled for. "How dare you ASSume to know what her life may be like", for off the place WAS filthy! Looking at the pictures anyone can see that. I'm not saying you have to be a neat freak, but seriously! 2nd, nobody said she couldn't have them w/out drugs. They were just stating it's a huge coincidence. I know it can happen naturally, DUH! 3rd, "but I guess that most of you have never been in an abusive relationship and wouldn't know how that works....right?", now your the one ASSuming! You have no idea what our past relationships have been like, or what our lives have dealt us. 4th, women on here who have tried to concieve multiples again is not even in the same catagory as this little girl, not even close! Their older, more than likely in a STEADY relationship, and most important able to provide for their children. I not knocking anyone who needs assistance, but I really would've thought she learned if not the first time at least the 2nd pg with triplets. And lastly, "The children look healthy and happy. The knife and "raw meat" on the counter are cultural....as are the cluttered living conditions, but I will guess that if anyone was to check on these SEVEN children, they would all be very well cared for." Are you serious! I didn't know it was in some culturals tradition to leave knives in arms reach of babies! It sounds like to me your trying to teach us something when you don't even know what your talking about.

Actually there are cultures where babies learn to use knives, machetes even, as it is a vital part of life and the kids get introduced to them early on, often coached by other kids not much older than themselves (what we would call preschool age(. Cant remember exactly which country this was common in but was quite fascinated when I saw it on Discovery. In this picture though, there are 3 adults visible and moving about in the background. I wonder what kind of outrage a snapshot taken in any of our homes might spark...taken in the two seconds I step away from the baby in the tub or on the changing table, for example. Who knows whats going on in that photo two seconds before or after it was taken? To make so many assumptions as to the living conditions and morals and values of these folks based on 5 photos is a bit ..... silly. And the girl could have had sex three times....would there be less outrage if she'd only had singletons? Because there are plenty of American girls here age with three children. And, where is the filth? Ive looked at the 5 photos several times trying to find it but all I see is clutter in one and dirt and grass in the outdoor photos. Heck, they even have photos and knickknacks nicely arranged on a wall shelf - a lot more than I've managed to accomplish in this place we moved into 2 months before our triplets were born. I see clean and plump children and to suggest the kids should be given away because the parent/grandparent don't live in a place that looks like what we Americans would live in or don't make the social decisions we would is harsh.

Hmmm. FirsT oF all iT sounds like you are mad. GOOD! SUCK IT UP FT! Now you know how I felt when I read your ignorant post. You ASSume that you know it all. You dont'. You ASSUME that this girl and the other mothers on here are not in the same catigory. WRONG again. They all share one thing. TRIPLETS. The point I was making in this post was that everyone on this forum should be here to help and /or SUPPORT each other. NOT to talk crap about someone whose CURTURAL and ECONOMIC situation is very different than that of our own. Why would anyone ASSUME that just because she is young that her children should be given up for adoption? Not to long ago in history GIRLS got married at 13 or even younger and in some CULTURES still do. It is thought that when they are child bearing age they should bear children. As far as you comment about me not knowing what I am talking about....well, let's just say the same can be said of you I have been on this forum longer than most of you and will remain here long after you leave. Good grief, let it go. Everyone has the right to express her opinions. This young girl should be attending her version of prom and not nursing seven babies. Promiscuity bit her in the proverbial butt. Now her life will be spent drastically differently than it could have been. She messed up and hopefully will have an opportunity to let her children be adopted before they follow in her footsteps.
I've been around forever (9 yrs) on TC and have seen a slew of drama, but this is really sad--getting angered over viable opinions. Two sets of HOMS are a blessing, but if you're not prepared (as this teen is clearly not) it might not be viewed as such. A check every month to every girl that doesn't become pregnany b/f age 19 would save society a lot of $$ on entitlement programs and save the babies from a life of crappy parenting. I know some will "judge" me but go ahead. A healthy debate is what a democracy is all about.
That would not stop pre martial sex only promote abortion to those who don't wait and have an "oops". I would not tolerate my money going to that. I would however pay a parent to teach their children to be responsible with their reproductive organs and perhaps wait until they are ready for all the responsibilities involved.
