Granted, I'm not on this site as often as I used to be, but I do enjoy popping on from time to time. Is it just me, or is traffic much 'lighter' these days? Used to be that posts rolled quickly to the bottom of page one or two, replaced by fresh new ones hourly. These days, it seems like the same posts languish on page one for days, even weeks! Some of the forums that used to be popular like photos, etc. don't even get used anymore.

I know at one time there was an alternate site started. Is that where everyone has gone? Or is there something else I've missed.

I kind of miss the 'good ole days!'

I think most have gone to Facebook. The "Veterans" board here has just about died out. I joined the Facebook triplet group but there's no action there. I think it's more privately oriented.

A shame really. There are so many new triplet moms that could use support from those that have been there!

We are all on Facebook now, where there isn't any censorship and the mob rules. It's like the Wild Wild West.

I feel the same way - where is everyone?? How do I find these Facebook groups? When I search on FB, most of them have just a few members. Would love to keep connecting with other triplet moms.

Facebook. We can say what we want there without being censored. Sorry, but the over policing of this board and banning long time posters turned a lot of people away from here. I still post but I understand why many do not. It is a shame. This place has been a great source of information for so many triplet parents.

Just some advice for new parents - there is a wealth of information here on Triplet Connection if you search for it. It may seem light on content at the moment, but if you have a specific issue you're dealing with search the database. When this board was active there was information flying around all the time and it's still accessible.

It may not be the community it once was, but there still is the information out there. Search effectively, and you'll likely find it.

Glad to hear some of you feel the same about the loss of 'life' on this board. Censorship, drama and all, TC used to be a lively community that got me through the early triplet days. Often it was a hoot to jump on just for some comic relief. But there was also a TON of solid parenting tips and information. I do miss those days. Wish there was a way to resurrect it in some form.

I keep an eye on both places...and really miss how it was the first few years we had our trio too. I think the real reason it went to FB is twofold. First, the newer moms are on there prior to having triplets and it is a natural for them. Secondly, when all the censorship and drama started here...there was an exodos to FB...and many groups were started that the newer moms are finding.

It is too bad the Triplet Connection cannot start a FB group to keep up with the times and have a gateway onto it from here.

Susan hit it on the head. If I got pregnant with triplets NOW (versus then) I would have done a search on FB first.

I'm not some cheery little princess who never says naughty words. FB allows me to be myself and be around people who appreciate who I am, not who THIS site wants me to be.

It's not just this forum. All the forums are moving to Facebook. It's just the natural progression of things. This website could easily continue, it just needs to move to Facebook. There is no use fighting it. Even my 72 year old MIL just put together her 55 year high school reunion on Facebook.

I think a lot of them have moved to Facebook like many have already said. I like FB forums better because there is less censoring and I feel like I can get to know fellow triplet parents better. I still pop back over here to give my advice but I no longer ask questions over here.

there was a time when a post was on page 3 by the end of the day! I also think that when your triplets are young (like less than 4/5) you are more desperate to know what works for others, or at least I was. I still come on once in a while but nothing like before. I used to live on this site! It is unfortunate because this forum seriously saved my sanity! The handful of nasty, judgmental MOMs chased everyone away. I do hope the new MOMs can get the board moving again though. I used to find everything on here, from how to keep diapers on to what websites had shoes on sale. It really was great.

The same rocking social atmosphere is still going on. Same fights. Same beefs. Same connections. I just remarked to another MOM the other day that FB is exactly like TC used to be. The new moms are getting exactly what we got. They are just not getting it HERE now. It's on FB.

I, too, miss what this site used to be. I'm on one of the FB boards, not sure of all of them. TC always felt like "home" since I started here while pg. I stayed even after we had our babies and I only got to bring two home. I'm part of the "TC on FB" group. Not sure where eveyone else is. I do miss many of our wise veteran parents and I actually enjoyed the lively posts - even those that got out of control.

I remember this time also. It was great. But I have to strongly disagree that a handful of nasty, judgmental moms chased everyone away! Because it was when these exact women who are being accused of being nasty and judgemental left when this board died. And surprise surprise these exact same women went to facebook and everyone followed on several board over there where everyone is free to speak their minds. Sure not everyone likes to hear what everyone likes to say and there are spats. But sometimes support comes with hearing what needs to be said and is sometimes hard to hear. And at the time sounds mean and judgmental. But in the end it is just women trying to help.

So I vehemently disagree that any nasty, judgemental moms chased everyone away. Short Sighted over moderation did. And we have copies of the pulled posted to see who said what to whom to prove it. I will forever disagree with pulling posts. If people are going to say it, make them own it. And don't censure on your beliefs. I have been on boards for 30 years and it is fastest way to kill a board.

I agree with everything that was said but this is a public forum that anyone can access. The board moderators can get silly at times, but there were some nasty comments happening. It wasn't just commenting on "what you may not like to hear but is necessary to say" type thing either. Some were outright attacked. I think those posts should be polled. Attacking another person is not necessary. Also, voicing ones opinion is not always necessary. I have a lot of opinions but they don't all need to be heard. If I disagree with something on here, I don't post unless I really feel the need. I am sure if I went back and looked some of my comments may not have been pleasant but I don't think I was ever downright nasty. I know I felt the need to defent myself at times.

I hope this board does not go to Facebook since I am not a Facebooker and choose not to be for many reasons. Am I being narrow minded, maybe but it is my choice.

I'm not disagreeing that some people were attacked, but like any other group, there are always a couple self-righteous morons and it gets hard to bite your tongue post... after post... after post... I'm not saying it's right, but I sympathize with the people who finally spoke up.

Recently there was a blowout because some moms were upset that another wanted to use up her money in savings on elective surgery so that she could continue to qualify for gov't support. In the old days, those responses would have been pulled.

I agree with Tasha. I remember reading some of those posts and seeing the ones I agreed with get pulled or even worse get kicked off the boards when their opinion was different then what the Mods wanted. Then the people who really needed to stop were left here to cause more drama. I didn't understand really why people would want some of the most incredible women who gave me the most sane advice to leave or be forced to leave. We are adults here, stand up for yourselfs and don't go running to the Mods. That is what got me to stop really posting and just lurking here once in awhile.

The archives here is valuable knowledge that saved me when I was pregnant and when my babies first arrived. But I feel like the luckiest one as I followed those "women" where they went and formed bonds with them and like the nononse and non-filtering way they tell it. Now my kids are six I realize it never gets easier it always just gets different. I want the truth on raising triplets and this board doesn't allow that. I want to be called out when offer up some BS and cheered on when I need it. I don't want it censored, I am a grownup that can stand up for myself and realize I don't have to go along with the majority just because. I don't want to have people kicked off for telling you what it and how it is. It is a shame because those same ruthless Mom's are now my suppourt, my friends and my go to source. I found my place I hope others find theirs.

Thank you TC for allowing me to meet such fabulous outspoken women and friends and for that I will be forever grateful!

I love hearing the truth, I don't have time for small talk but there were a handful of MOMs here who made the simplest thing into such a big deal that the OP would leave the boards after something like saying her triplets were "natural" rather than "spontaneous" because she was attacked so badly. It got ridiculous. Crap! I didn't even know the word singleton existed before I got pg with triplets! Someone who had never been on a forum before doesn't know all the unspoken rules that the rest of us do. The handful of troublemakers will always be around. A couple have just popped up and if you keep reading this thread I'm sure more will show up! Come on girls, I know you're out there...

I know, its such a bummer TC has gone that way it has, it truly was a lifeline when I was pregnant and when the kids were babies. But I have a been thru the ringer in the last 6 years and I am just not the cookie cutter sunshine and rainbows type of gal anymore. Honestly this forum is stifling and its frowned upon to be real and honest.

Motherhood is amazing but it is the hardest thing I have ever done and IRL there is not much honesty in motherhood for the simple fact if we talk about how hard it is and the challenges we face then we are deemed bad parents, multiply that by 3, its brutal. Frankly having triplets is no joke.........

I enjoy the "realness" of facebook, no one candy coats over there and no one is monitoring to make sure everyone is nice to one another. Adults disagree and when ppl come from so many different walks of life, is it not such a beautiful thing to be able to discuss openly how we feel??????
