What are done great gifts? My kids are asking for goofy things like elephants, puppies, hamsters, etc. I am not sure where these ideas are coming from. I thought since they started kidergarten they would start asking for normal things.

my miracle 24 weekers!!!!

The main gifts for my kindergarteners (5 year olds) are cars and legos for my son and it is going to be the Christmas of Barbie things and similar type dolls for my girls.

We're considering (for our almost 7-year-old girls): an MP3 player (a $20 version) and plug-in speaker, "life-sized" paper dolls, roller skates, lots and lots of fun clothes, hats, and accessories, a lego table, books, slippers, Angry Bird bath towel hoodies, stuff to write letters to relatives (on their own, like pre-printed addresses, etc), fun alarm clock, chalk scooter, ride-in Mini Cooper, movies, a bean bag chair ... I think that covers it! Mind you, this is some stuff we already have and some stuff other people *might* be getting them. I know it seems like a lot, but most of their stuff is clothing or stuff that I'd considered buying them anyway (the alarm clock, the towels, etc).

We have one girl who wants a frog, but I refuse to do it! LOL

Thanks for the ideas though. We are doing legos and cars but those are our ideas not what they have specifically asked for. I like the roller skate idea too. We do have a roller rink at our gym.
