OK I admit it, I'm looking for sympathy! But who better to understand than other parents of triplets? On Tuesday, we got a call from the school secretary saying one of our three was in the office with ice on his wrist--the story was that he slipped off the playground equipment before school even started. Off we went to the ER and it turned out to actually be a broken arm. It's splinted and wrapped and he'll get a cast this coming Monday. There goes this ski season

But wait, it gets better! This morning, again before school starts, I get a call from the same school secretary. She has another one of the triplets in the office with ice on his head and says it's bleeding. He slipped on our first snow and hit his head on a fence. Back to the ER and two staples in a nasty looking gash to the back of his head.

I'm thinking of putting triplet number three under lock and key until Christmas

OUCH! Sorry to hear that! Will your third of the trio benefit from a "fake" cast or head bandage to pretend s/he had an injury? (just so they won't go looking...)

Great idea! We're all about pretend play around here. I think we'll let our imaginations run wild and play Emergency Room Visit with #3 tomorrow. Kind of a 'ward off evil spirits' ploy! He actually commented tonight that he didn't want to get hurt since everyone has been joking about it. Poor guy!

I can understand that you are on pins and needles waiting for the other shoe to drop. At least you'll always remember Christmas 2011! LOL!

Yesterday was our last day of school before break and we made it through without mishap. Other than a cast that goes well above the elbow (did I mention the doc revealed that he actually broke TWO bones in the arm??!) and a tender scalp with a couple of staples, we are cruising toward a merry Christmas! Thanks for the good thoughts.
