#487342, "When did everybody stop letting their babies sleep toge..."

Hi everyone,
I have 4 1/2 month old bbb triplets. They are currently all sleeping together in the same crib in their own room. After reading some other posts regarding sleeping issues I have started being concerned that I have started the habbit of them sleeping together and it is going to be hard to break.
They currently sleep through the night and take great naps. Is my whole wonderful sleeping world going to implode when I put them intheir own cribs which are still in the same room?

Thanks
Stephanie

I stopped having them in the same crib when they were moving around. I found my son on top of one of the girls (he'd rolled over) and that was it for him. I let the two girls stay together a while longer but when they started getting all over the crib, I separated them too.

If I were you, I'd separate them now, if you have the space for three cribs. Assuming you don't intend to have them co-sleeping forever, the younger you start a new habit, the more quickly they'll adjust.

Good luck!

I separated mine at 3 months when they started moving around the crib too much. They were actually waking each other with the moving around. I would separate them sooner than later so they can get used to falling asleep alone.

I stopped about 3 months too. They were moving around too much. Their sleep habits did not change for the worse when we separated them.

I had boards in between the babies so they would not roll over on each other. I kept them this way until they outgrew the crib, they were about 6 months or so (4 months adjusted).
