just a quick note to say thanks to the posts referring to "if they keep on playing etc and won't settle & go to sleep, stay in the room until they do"
I have done alright up until now with the stern voice and sometimes raising the voice & telling them mommy is going to lose it - but I thought, wth, try that other thing! whoo hoo!
I stood in a corner of the room and told them they need to close their eyes, go to sleep so they can grow (we have lots of experiences here at home with things that grow - they understand the concept well).
Had to say just a couple of times in a nice soft voice - shhh - time to sleep - they were all asleep in 5 min.!!!

we just switched to big kid beds and that's not working at all for us, i wish it was. i can't get them to stay in their beds come hell or high water.
