#487771, "Never underestimate what 2 sets of triplets can do toge..."

Now that they are 8, I sometimes forget they are triplets. Well, not really forget, but it is no longer a focus. They dress differently, they have their own skills, friends, and personalities. Recently I realized that their tripletness still comes into play sometimes in really interesting ways. One of these ways is Manpower. Three kids accomplish more than one kid. Put triplets with a set of triplet friends, and there are now six kids where a singleton has two. About a week ago one of my kids, and one of my neighbor's kids, both 1/3 of a set, got together an decided to create a business making "pet pins" you remember the old friendship pins of the late 70's? These are the same idea, but they have been selling them to raise money for the humane society. Cute, right? Once all 6 of them (and the little sister) got involoved there was a team of brainstormers, and creativity. Pet Pins went from being a cute idea to making oer $500 in just a week! Manpower! The kids have a facebook page, an email account, and paypal. Two sets of triplets have lots of hands, mouths, and confidence. Best of all it gives the 6 of them a common goal, rather than competition. They have far reach with six classrooms, six sports teams, ect, but it is the togetherness that makes them a success. We are just blown away at what they can accomplish when they decide to let themselves be the group that they naturally are!

Awesome that this is something they come up with on their own, and that they are having success at it! Wouldn't you rather they be doing that than sitting in front of the t.v? Many hands so make light work.

Hahaha, that's an awesome and inspiring story! From the title, I was braced to hear about a whirlwind of destruction or frustration. Nice breath of fresh air.

I just reread the title--halarious! Eventually the same tenacity can pay out in positive ways....
They have now expanded. They just donated 851.50 to the humane society, and are now raising money in a special fundraiser to try to pay the medical costs to save 7 orphan puppies (2 of which were our fosters through a local rescue) who all came down with parvovirus.
They are also looking for kids in other states to dontate time, money, or energy to their local animal rescuses. ANYONE? We will send a small starter kit if your kids want to make pins, or just take a photo of your kids making a donation to your local rescue, and we will put their photo on the facebook page (pet pins) as "Pins kids" We will also send them a certificate of participation spreading the movement... Would be cool to feature more triplets.
