#487823, "Birthday invitations for triplets turning 7"

My triplets are turning 7 soon and we are doing one party as we always do. (This may be the last year we can get away with it because they are getting different interests and friends). I'm stumped on what to write on the invitations. They are in kindergarten at a new school and are in separate classes. (In preschool they were always in the same class and we invited the whole class.) Whose names do I write on the inviation? Just the one triplet who is inviting them or all their names? (ex. You're invited to Andrew's 7th birhtday party vs. You're invited to Andrew, Luke and Kaitlyn's 7th birthday party). My dilema came because some of the kids know two of the triplets (because two of their classes do things together at school) and some of our neighbors know all three triplets. We have 8 kindergarteners on our street. Do I write all three names on those inviations? I know I'm making this harder than it should be, but I don't want to put all three names on the invitations and then have people think we expect three presents (especially when their child may not even know the other triplets.) Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

We haven't hit that stage yet, but I remember seeing other posts about this in the past.

I liked the one where you can have the invitation printed with a fill-in-the-blank spot, as in : Please be ____________'s special guest at a birthday party for Child A, Child B, and Child C.

That way you could use it for any number of situations.

Good luck!

The last 2 years we have had the kids pick the children they wanted to invite. Then we put that child's name on the invitation. Ex: Christian would like to you celebrate his birthday with him.

The first year I put a note on the back of the invitation and it said: Samantha, Jeremy, Paige and Christian are celebrating their 7th birthday. If you would like to bring a gift, please bring one for the child list on the front of the invitation. (Or something like that)

The only people who brought gifts for all of them were the close friends.

Hope that helps!

I always let each child pick maybe three kids to invite then on the invitation put "The Greene Triplets are turning 5, please come as Caroline's guest". Or you could say, "Come help Caroline celebrate as she and her siblings turn 7" or something like that.

Hope that helps.

Glad you asked this. We will be experiencing the same thing this year. My trio turns 7 in August and this will be their first party with friends. We have not lived in MD very long so kindergarten was their first chance to make friends and get invited to parties. My husband and I were just discussing this and were wondering about presents. So all the suggestions are great and we will be using them too.
