Try not to stress. Mine took paci's at nap and night time until they were close to 4. And then I just stopped giving them the paci's...cold turkey. We tried to make sure we got all of them that were thrown around the house/van, etc. We found a couple just recently and my kiddos will be 6. And honestly, it wasn't as huge of a deal as I thought. At night time when I tucked them in and they asked for them, I just told them that they were too big for paci's.
I know I've read a few things on here where people have said they tied their's to a balloon and released it to go to another baby who needed it. My mind is drawing a blank but I know there were more suggestions.
Try not to compare your kiddos to singleton's. I know it's hard & I still do it from time to time. But it just isn't the same. We were in the same boat with potty training, too. And I totally did not push the issue. My DD was potty trained at 2 (I think). She was easy & pretty much did it on her own. My boys were slower. I never tried the 3 day potty training or anything like that. I let it happen when it happened. And it will happen.
I'm a stresser but for some reason I didn't stress much on those two issues. They may talk a little longer to do these things, but it will happen mama. Take care! Check us out at: http://thewrighttrips.blogspot.com/

Hi Jennifer. My kiddos are 4 and I rarely get on here anymore!
As for the paci's we cut of the ends when they were two and let them suck on them...they said they were broken and we threw them away. If they asked for them I would remind them that they were broken and we threw them away.
I took them away for two reasons...my SIL is a speech therapist and one of mine has a speech delay and she said that if they have something in their mouths they are obviously less likely to talk...they also get used to talking out of the sides of their mouth which doesn't help with articulation/annunciation, etc.
Second, the boys when to the dentist and they told us we were going to have huge orthodonture bills if we didn't. Colter's teeth especially were starting to be pushed forward...it was amazing how quickly they straightened up when we took those away.
Hope this helps!

Mine are 3 and have speech delays also, and I sometimes feel the same way when I see them interact with other kids their age - the other kids seem like geniuses and mine seem like neanderthals! I do try not to compare, but it's hard. I go through phases of worrying like crazy and then go back to feeling like they're doing ok and progressing at their own rate (which they really are). Even "typical" kids have issues with one thing or another, so try not to feel bad about the pacis or potty-training - in the grand scheme of things, those are small things that will develop in their own time, they just seem huge when you're dealing with them x 3! Two of mine are taking to the potty-training fairly well, the third is very much not ready and that's ok. Not much you can do if they just aren't "getting it" yet. They'll get there! Try not to worry DS 03/06 BBB 03/09 @ 35 weeks, 1 day Baby A - 5 lbs 1 oz Baby B - 6 lbs 8 oz Baby C - 4 lbs 5 oz

"the other kids seem like geniuses and mine seem like neanderthals!"...I totally go through this, too! I stress and then I'm okay for a while and back to stressing. It's a vicious cycle but I think all of our kids will be okay Check us out at: http://thewrighttrips.blogspot.com/

Like Lana said, for us having the dentist talk to them was the "cure". They all used it for naps and bedtime but I had one that was getting addicted. We went to the dentist and she mentioned to me how she could see the side effects of paci on their teeth and shape of the mouth palate. She then talked to them and told them something (I dont recall exactly what) and asked for the pacifiers. They all gave them to her and that was it. They asked for them later but knew they were gone and they could not have them back. It was amazing to see the difference in on the girl's teeth within weeks. Not easy but doable...
