I am so sad to say this but my beautiful little girl that is almost 4 has been acting really mean to the babies (11 month olds, BBG). Do you have any suggestions in ways that any of you have dealt with this in your own households? Life is definitey changed for her. We really don't get out of the house as much as we used to but we have her going to Ballet once a week and going to church on Sunday usually. I try to have playdates and go to Mom's group at church whenever possible. I really feel bad that things have changed so drastically for her. I have tons of activities like playdoh, Activity books, I read to her but honestly everything else just falls through the cracks. My house isn't always tended to. Laundry piles up. I am being stretched pretty thin and time management is out the window. It is on an as needed basis.

Thanks for letting me rant.

God bless you all!

Linda

I had a 1 & 4 yr old when the triplets were born. Unfortunately your daughter doesn't want the activities, she wants you. It's sad, it killed me for a long time! I literally had years of guilt about turning my kid's world upside down by adding 3 babies to the family. It takes a lot of time and effort to overcome it but eventually you will get there. Just love on her and spend as much time with her as you possibly can. If anyone comes over to help you, have them watch the babies while you play with her. Even now, my oldest is 10, triplets are 5 and very often my oldest will get mad about something and say mean things about how life isn't fair because we can't do certain things that other families might do because we have so many kids. It still feels like a jab in my heart but it's the way he feels and I can't be upset about his feelings. I just do the best I can. It will get better as time goes on. Tell your family and friends that when they visit to pay extra attention to her and not to oooh and awe at the babies right away. GL!
