We've just about decided to get the tripple decker stroller. Anyone got one and have some opinions of it? Does it fold up fairly flat? How long were you able to use it? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

We used one and LOVED it! We have small babies and were able to use it for 19 months. I wonder if that is a record? But we bought it knowing it might be only 6 months. Still WAY worth it, IMO.

It does fold fairly flat. NOT completely flat, but very easy to toss in the car. We left it in the car all the time. We bought the frame new for $300 plus shipping, I believe. The seats we got as gifts. They were $50 seats. When you are counting the cost, remember you need the seats anyway, so we would not have counted them as part of the expense. You CAN get the seats from the company although I am not sure how the price compares. Do a little research.

I know I would not have gotten out as much without this stroller. I was able to take them to the doctor, store etc. alone. Yes, I could have done it with the Runabout, but I probably would not have. We were totally in love with this stroller and I said here many times they would have to pry it away from me when the time came!! When they outgrew the seats, we still used it for awhile by keeping the seats in the back of the van and putting them in for the stroller. They were too big to use them as car seats but still fit in them for stroller use.

When we were done, we cleaned the whole thing up and sold it for $350. So we got more than we paid for the base (and as I said, we were not counting the cost of the seats anyway, and would probably have donated them to charity if we didn't sell them with the stroller. There is not a huge market for used car seats!)

Can you tell I loved this stroller!!!

They ought to pay me to advertise.

Probably one of the best decisions we made was to buy this stroller! We too received the carseats as gifts - I registered for them and my MIL bought them for us. The frame is so lightweight and folds beautifully, like Kari, I'm a believer...well worth the $$ to be able to pop the kids in and out of the car w/o having to remove them from the stroller.

It was very easy for me to grocery shop, etc. I'd pull the DD behind me and push my cart - I'd assume it would be just as easy w/the TD.

Like Kari, we have small babies, I used the stroller for 16mos. They outgrew the length a few mos before that but we used it a while longer.

Marie

PS. There have been previous discussions on this stroller as well, you might try a search on archived threads. I can't recall anyone regretting the purchase.

I love mine. With my twins, I didn't have a stroller that held carseats, and it was a pain getting them in and out of their carseats and into the stroller. With the triplets I have the Triple Decker and love it. We go out at least 3 times a week and it makes it so easy to just get up and go. It folds up nicely and is light weight. I'm estimating we will be able to use it until a year.

We agree with the previous poster's....the TD has been great. Our girls are 15 months, and we are still using it. They are growing out of the infant seats, but I have adapted other seats to fit the stroller, so we can continue using it. It folds up very easily, and is easy to use. Highly recommended!

Good luck,

We bought our used for $300, great condition and love it. Hoping the boys can use it a bit longer for the spring-time. Easy to get in and out of our Grand Prix. I put off getting the minivan because this fit in the car.
