Hi all! My sister will be throwing an open house shower for my husband and I in a couple of weeks and we've been putting our heads together for a cute way to invite our friends (husbands and wives) to stop by. We're having identical girls and a little boy which I'd like to mention in the wording.

Any tips?

Hi! this may not be quite what you're looking for, but it was the wording to my shower that i didn't even get to attend because i was put in the hospital 2 weeks before:
"We're having a shower for Kelly, a mommy-to-be.
It's given by us, her friends, you see!
We hope you'll attend, she'll be so flattered.
Please just remember that this shower is scattered!
Come when you wish, stay as long as you may,
We're going to have such a wonderful day!

It's great, thanks! How disappointing that you couldn't attend your shower. We debated waiting until afer the babies were born for that reason and decided it would probably be easier before they arrived. I don't know how my husband will react if I can't make it!

My sister is going to host the shower at our house so if I end up on bedrest its just a quick walk to the couch for the afternoon and I'm sure as long as we have a good cake and plenty of wine and cheese no one will really care if I don't get up and work the room! Our neighbors and friends are happy any time there is a reason to get together and celebrate, everyone is so excited for us!

Hello Jen! Here's the invitation my friends used for my shower. I was soooo emotional during my pregnancy I would cry everytime I read it.
Please drop by for a baby shower we're having for three

Sunday August 4th from 2pm until 4pm
at the Carr residence-just knock at the door.
That's where we'll be making all the noise.
